收藏界黑马——清代寿字金锭

在中国货币史上，正式把金银称作“元宝”，始于元代。不过，早在唐初开元通宝年间，民间就有取其硕大、贵重之意，读为“开通元宝”的。而元代称金银钱为“元宝”，则是元朝之宝的意思，黄金叫做金元宝，银锭叫作银元宝，既有政治含义，也是对金银货币约定俗成的通称。其实熔铸成锭的金银锭，作为中国古代货币始自汉代，其后各代皆有铸造，但流通不广。所以，古代的金锭是无可替代的货币和文化。
